"Chelation" sounds like a chemistry-class word, but it's why your boat actually gets protected, not just rinsed.
Here's the science, simplified: salt is sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl) bonded together. Salts Gone® bonds directly to those elements, breaking the bond at a molecular level; once broken, it can't reform. Water alone temporarily dissolves salt; when it evaporates, deposits remain and keep corroding your boat.
