✨ PROGRESS WORTH PAUSING FOR ✨

There’s something pretty special about the stage of a custom build when it starts feeling less like a construction site and more like someone’s home.

The wood flooring is going in, drywall is nearing the finish line, and you can finally see the warmth and character of this home beginning to come together. 🤎

And can we talk about these floors?! The natural variation, knots, and rich tones add so much character throughout the home. Once everything is painted, trimmed out, and the final finishes are installed… 😍

This is one of our favorite parts of building: watching months of plans, selections, decisions, and craftsmanship slowly turn into the home our clients envisioned.

And of course, none of this would be possible without our incredible homeowners and clients who trust us to bring their vision to life. We never take for granted the opportunity to be a part of something as personal and important as building your home. 🤍

🎨 The fun part of building a custom home… choosing the DETAILS!

It was paint sample day at Leatherwood Construction Homes! We love looking at colors in the home once walls are up so homeowners can see how each one looks in the actual space, with the home’s natural light, textures, and surroundings.

Because that tiny little paint chip at the store can suddenly have a whole different personality once it’s in different lighting. 😂

From warm neutrals to bold, moody statement colors, these are the decisions that start turning a house into their home. 🏡✨

With every passing week, this custom home gets one step closer to completion, and the primary suite is quickly becoming one of our favorite spaces.

From the warm wood-look flooring and spacious bedroom to the spa-inspired bathroom featuring a freestanding soaking tub, dual walk-in showers, and a stunning wood accent wall, every detail was thoughtfully selected to create a peaceful retreat. And let’s not forget the incredible custom closet with built-ins designed to keep everything organized while feeling luxurious.

With Texas already bringing the heat this Fourth of July weekend, it’s hard not to picture what this incredible outdoor living space is going to become. From morning coffee to summer cookouts, evenings by the pool, and fireworks with family and friends, this space is being designed for making memories.

An expansive covered outdoor living area, a beautiful outdoor kitchen, and a resort-style backyard… this is the kind of space that makes home the place everyone wants to gather.

Can we take a moment for these incredible brick-look laundry room floors? 😍 The timeless charm of reclaimed brick meets the durability and easy maintenance of tile—but the real story is in the details.

Each tile featuring a city name was thoughtfully selected and arranged by the beautiful homeowner, Karen, on installation day. Every city represents a place that holds special memories from their travels, creating a one-of-a-kind design that’s visible from the moment you step into the laundry room.

This is what we love most about building custom homes. It’s not just about selecting beautiful finishes, it’s about creating spaces that tell your story and reflect the people who will call them home.
