Tremie Pour Day in Athens County! ๐๏ธ๐ง
Today weโre placing concrete into drilled shafts with the help of Tri-State Concrete Pumping and their pump truck.
These shafts have over 11 feet of standing water in each one, so a conventional concrete placement simply isnโt an option. Instead, weโre using the tremie method, where concrete is placed through a pipe all the way to the bottom of the shaft. The concrete rises from the bottom up, displacing the water as it fills the excavation. This prevents the concrete from segregating and helps ensure a high-quality, structurally sound foundation.
Itโs always great working with professionals who understand the importance of getting these specialty pours done right. Thanks to Tri-State Concrete Pumping for helping keep the project moving!
