As a petroleum company first and foremost, we wondered how we could best serve our customers amid rising fuel prices. We cannot control fuel prices, although, we did know that we could produce an environment that the diesel that our customers consume would be clean and efficient as possible. We first developed the "Clean Fuel Program" which incorporates tank cleaning for our dedicated fuel custome
rs. While this service produced a lot of positive feedback, we still felt as if there was more to give in terms of value to our customers. Kevin Lockart, John Papenhause, Ryan Mast, and newcomer, Jeff Traylor have many years experience with diesel fuel additive. The past results were very successful. So, there we go, "lets develop our own custom fuel additive" and here we are! John Papenhause is the originator of the name, Four Ugly Guys or FUG 21 for short. The 21 of course standing for the year of inception. To this very day I wanted the name to be Three Ugly Guys and one Good Looking Guy, but as you can imagine, settling on the one good looking guy was near impossible, so I settled. We partnered with Afton Chemical and were able to EPA register our very own FUG 21 D diesel fuel additive. After 1 year of a tedious process, we are now up and running and serving the Illinois and South Carolina diesel market since April 1st of 2022. The field trails have been incredible, many customers experiencing better fuel efficiency at rates that even surprised our team.
