Looking for a home: 🐕 🐶

We’ve seen these two running around outside for the past few days, and we’ve been trying to lure them closer by feeding them and providing fresh water. Early this morning, we were finally able to trap them, and Jackson County, GA Animal Shelter came to pick them up.

They assured us they will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and then they’ll be put up for adoption. They’re very close to each other—extremely frightened—and they wouldn’t leave one another’s side. We’re hopeful (and mostly praying) that they’ll be adopted together. 🙏 If anyone is willing to adopt these two dogs together, Steel Plate will happily cover the adoption cost for both dogs.

Today, I’m especially thankful for a team of employees who are always so helpful and who drop everything in a moment’s notice to assist stray animals that show up at Steel Plate. This team truly cares.

Shout-out to Mike Sinclair, Kennedy Donnelly, Ericka Magallanes, Evan Padovani, Noah Kenney, Myles Kenney, Justin Hunter, Jallah Zeze, and Heather Huff for helping with this rescue. From the pictures I received, to checking for them each day, putting out dog food and fresh water, setting up the trap and checking on it every hour, and making many calls to find a shelter—these people are incredible, with the biggest, best hearts. 🤎

From Queen of the shop 👑 to Princess of planning and CAD ✨—meet Franchessca! You may remember her from earlier posts cutting massive plates in the shop. She’s been around Steel Plate since she was a teen, so she’s basically grown up around all the steel magic.

Now, she’s taking her shop skills into the office and applying them to the CAD and planning department.

Her ability to burn just about any plate in the shop, as well as run 40-ton cranes, gives her a huge advantage when programming the machines.

And beyond her experience, her attitude is incredible: always smiling, helpful, and kind to everyone. She’s a fantastic addition to the CAD team!
