Our affordable home design on Spring St is quickly making tangible progress!

This house is one of the three homes being built in a partnership with City of Pensacola - Government, Home Builders Association of West Florida, and Pensacola Habitat for Humanity to provide affordable/attainable/workforce housing in Pensacola.

This particular project, built by Pars Co, LLC, makes use of SCIP (Structural Concrete Insulated Panel) construction for the exterior walls. The home will provide superior insulation performance while also providing a much more resilient building in a wind storm event. Concrewall is the manufacturer of the SCIP wall system on this build. We've been eager to be a part of a project using this technology for going on ten years, and have come close more than once. We're thankful to finally see one going up.

President Blaine Flynn hit the ground running this week when he called a meeting of the HBA Senior Officers and Committee Chairs to make sure everyone understood the goals of the HBA going into 2020. Goals included growing the HBA’s membership by 30 percent, increasing the HBA’s social media presence and obtaining 3,000 likes on Facebook, enhancing the Parade of Homes and other non-dues revenue events and working with coalitions governmental affairs efforts. Buckle up… It’s going to be a fun year!
