Life hack- if you have a balance on your credit card, call your credit card companies and ask if they have any promotional interest rates available for your account. When I used to carry a balance on mine I did this and they would often times lower my rate from ~19% to about 9% for one year the current balance. This will help allow you to pay if off quicker.

I just completed an activation for one of my solar customers who also wanted the Tesla Powerwalls as well. Not only will his home save money every year vs buying the power from SRP, but his home is also protected from power outages with these two batteries.

Some people tell me “Max out my roof with solar and put in a Tesla Powerwall battery. I am done giving APS my money and done with these power outages.”

It doesn’t matter what side you are on in this case because we are all paying the price ultimately.

But just keep in mind, if APS is your power company, they are regulated by the ACC (Arizona Corporation Commission) and they have an election coming up this Tuesday 7/30 in the primary.

James Oconnor (R) voted YES for this rate hike
Lea Peterson (R) voted YES for this rate hike
Ann Tovar (D) voted NO for this rate hike

4 of the 5 voted yes for this rate hike. And the 4 who voted yes were all R. The only No vote was the lonely D, Ann Tovar.

And they are all up for reelection again this Tuesday. You can see a pattern here. If you want more rate hikes, you know the way to vote. If you’re tired of paying APS these expensive rates, no matter if you have solar or not, you can see who is the safe ones to vote for. Vote wisely because this one hits very close to home- our power company.

Did you know if you break your mortgage payment into two payments and pay it twice a month vs one big payment once a month you will shave off 8+ years on your mortgage? And it doesn’t cost you an extra dime. Actually, not only will you shorten many years off your mortgage but you will also save a ton in interest over the life of the loan. So if you ever decide to sell your home before your mortgage is paid off it means more money in your pocket and it doesn’t cost you a thing extra. It may also help with budgeting purposes each month too. Most mortgages companies will allow you to do this right on their portal.

It’s the small thing to help get you ahead a little more in life.

I've seen a lot of people talking in the Facebook groups about their APS bill this year vs last year. This is from the APS rate hike that just happened this past March. MAKE IT STOP! But it wont, because APS is knows they have a monopoly and they know some people are hard headed and won't even look into solar. Most of those who have solar in APS are enjoying very consistent power bills compared to last year. They arent as affected by the rate hike.

Monday- Friday 2p-8p

Be sure you run your pool pump and dryer as much as you can during the day, but outside of this peak time for the best bang for your buck.
