It's National Drinking Water Week! This years message is "Protect the Source".
In Peoria, IL our source(s) are a combination of underground aquifers and the Illinois River. With more and more of our water coming from the Illinois River, be mindful of what you put down drains and storm sewer inlets. Household hazardous chemicals need to be disposed of properly and never poured down the drain or roadway sewer inlets (i.e. paints, paint thinners and other solvents, automotive oils, etc.) These chemicals have the potential of making it back to the Illinois River!

What are the top 3 issues facing Underground Infrastructure in Washington?

1)Will the president be able to spend the $1 Trillion on infrastructure he campaigned on? And will these dollars include what's most important to us- Underground Infrastructure!
2) Tax Reform. Sounds a little off topic, but if the new tax bill does not allow for a tax-free municipal bond interest (as is being discussed) municipalities will find it harder to raise capital at a good rate, therefore reducing a muni's total capital spent on infrastructure.
3) EPA enforcement reduction....Proposed deregulation of EPA could have significant implications on trenchless operations.
