Portfolio Rewind: Allen Road

As we look back on 30 years of Maurer-Stutz, Allen Road stands out as one of those familiar corridors where local engineering becomes part of everyday life.

From our work on the Allen Road bridge to the Allen Road and Alta Road roundabout, these projects helped improve how people move through a heavily traveled part of the Peoria area. The roundabout in particular made a meaningful difference for surrounding traffic flow, including access near Northwoods Community Church, where backups often required deputies to assist with traffic management.

It’s a strong example of what thoughtful roadway design can do: solve a real problem, support the surrounding community, and create a smoother experience for the people who use it every day.
