Regular Flooring vs. Paw Strip vs. Sealed Flooring
Which option is right for your trailer?
After installing flooring in thousands of trailers over the past nine years, we’ve learned what works best for different customers and how their trailers are actually used. One advantage we have is that we use these trailers ourselves every day, so we understand what holds up in the real world—not just in the shop.
Regular Porous Flooring is an extremely durable option and works great for many horse and livestock owners. However, if you have animals that paw, dig, or tend to be hard on a trailer floor, the standard porous surface may not be the best long-term choice.
That’s where our Paw Strip and Sealed Flooring options come in.
These upgrades are designed for high-wear areas and provide significantly greater protection against pawing and heavy use. Many commercial trailers are done with sealed flooring or a paw strip because they consistently deliver the durability needed for years of hard use.
Installing these systems correctly requires experience and specialized techniques. Very few installers offer these options or have the expertise to do them properly.
That’s what sets TW Flooring & Fabrication apart. We don’t just install floors—we build flooring systems that match how you use your trailer, helping you get the longest possible life out of your investment.
