Happy Holidays!! π
Perrysburg Schools Foundation is pleased to announce that Bolles Professional Painting has generously sponsored a grant benefiting sixth grade math students at Hull Prairie Intermediate School (HPI). The donation has expanded access to essential scientific calculators across all four sixth grade classrooms, ensuring students have the tools needed for consistent, hands-on math learning.
The grant made it possible for the 6th Grade Math Department to purchase sets of district-recommended scientific calculators, giving every student access to the same device used in instruction. This consistency allows students to focus on understanding mathematical concepts.
Sixth grade math teacher Josh Roach emphasized the importance of having classroom calculators available for all students. βBy having a set available in class, students can focus more on understanding the material instead of worrying about whether they have the right calculator,β Roach explained. He noted that the durable scientific calculators will support students for years to come.
The grant carries special significance for Corey Bolles, owner of Bolles Professional Painting and parent of a current sixth grader. βI have been wanting to do something to give back to the community and show our appreciation, so when we started the conversation with Perrysburg Schools Foundation and this opportunity came up, I knew it was a great way to do that,β said Bolles.
Perrysburg Schools Director of Development, Jeff Abke, expressed gratitude for the donation and the spirit behind it. βWe are grateful to Corey for meeting this need and for being an example of how connected our schools are with the community,β Abke shared. βThe family is very involved in a lot of things in Perrysburg, so it is great to get to recognize them in this way.β
This contribution directly strengthens math learning for sixth grade students by ensuring equitable access to essential classroom tools and reinforcing student confidence and achievement.
