We’ve been staying super busy lately but here are a couple small stainless projects we’ve done recently. We got to help out a restaurant who had a broken handle on an important sink tray used for washing everyday. We also helped a customer get parts made for an urgent project. They needed a longer adjustable leg to make a canopy taller. We were able to draw it up and have it made in their desired time frame with some material we had in stock. We’re looking forward to sharing some bigger projects coming near completion soon!!

A customer came to us with this soil conditioner attachment that had a seized 2”center pivot pin. After it wouldn’t budge with lots of heat and heavy hitting we were able to cut the pin flush and drill it out from the top and bottom. As we put it back together we also added a grease zerk that is easier to access to help prevent a situation like this in the future.

Kiefer Detailing Service came to us recently looking to have their new exhaust tip mounted on a duramax. We saw that pre-bent fittings were not quite going to land the tip in the correct position, so we ended up making some 5” pie cuts from aluminized steel exhaust pipe. We were able to get the tip mounted just where they wanted it and this fun project came out great! We’re looking forward to the next opportunity to do a project of this type and maybe it will be made from polished stainless steel. Don’t forget to get ahold of KDS for all of your vehicle cleaning and detailing needs!

Here’s a quick fix we completed on a dump trailer door. The hinge broke off and we cut it off fixed the tube and welded a new hinge right back on. This trailer is back to work the next morning!

Another trailer came our way in need of some ramp repairs. The expanded metal was warped and breaking from the original ramps. We were able to cut off the old and clean up all the tack welds so that a new piece of heavier expanded metal could be welded on. The heavier expanded metal should last a lot longer and hold up to the equipment being loaded and unloaded daily.

We had a customer come to us recently needing toolboxes on their dump truck to reduce clutter in the cab. We were able to fab up some mounting brackets and mount those boxes under the dump bed for them. Now they can move tools from the floor of the truck and have more comfort in the cab after working hard out in the elements. NB Lawn & Landscape LLC

We recently got to use some new tools and techniques to make these bumper bars for a dirt track race car. This was an awesome project to try out and the results came out amazing! We used the old painted bars to measure and mock up the new stainless steel ones and they fit great with a few final tweaks upon install at the customers shop.

We helped a customer out this week with a couple aluminum fuel tanks that had leaks. The first had a crack that we were able to grind down and weld back shut. The second tank had pitting under the tank straps so we cleaned up the spots to weld over the pinhole leaks then ground it back smooth. Both trucks getting back in action fast without buying or waiting on whole new tank.

We had a field call to repair this loader arm recently and were able to get it knocked out right away for the customer. They had a crack that was previously poorly repaired by a dealer and it gave way under a heavy load in the bucket. We were able to disassemble components, grind all cracks, realign steel and weld it up to get them right back in service. Get ahold of us for your onsite repair needs!
