The Yellow Door found a home in one of our favorite spots on the square. Welcome to Petersburg, Yellow Door! Now with two locations to shop - Petersburg and Oakford 💛🛍

We’re doing a soft open this Saturday at The Yellow Door on Square! Open 10am-5pm in Petersburg! 💛🥳 We have more we want to do but we’re ready to open our space to share with you all! Come see all the new inventory!

We’re also excited to share a sneak peak of the beautiful new/old checkout counter at The Yellow Door on The Square! We’ve had fun making it our own, but the history behind it is what makes it special.

Our friend Douglas Pope at The Broadguage was generous enough to gift us the base, and has been a huge encouragement to us from the beginning of our new adventure on the square! This base was part of the kitchen counter of the original VFW hall located on the second floor of the Cigar Factory building. We’ve been told the VFW had to move to its current location after too many folks fell down the outdoor stairs after the Friday night fish fry’s!

We also have to thank our talented friend Brandon Lavely for custom building the beautiful countertop out of wood salvaged from the renovation of the Broadguage building. If you look closely, you can still see hammer marks and nail holes from when they were originally installed.

Also, a big thanks to Mia with Vintage Restorations by Mia for painting it so perfectly for us! She does amazing work! We chose the vintage blue color as a wink back to an era of elegance and small town vibrance that we can feel is making its return to Petersburg!

And finally, thank you to our friend Carla Baccino for gifting us this gorgeous chandelier that matched our space perfectly! ✨
