Mill Expansion Update: It’s alive! ⚙️ We’ve spent the last couple of weeks getting the headsaw and resaw up and running. We still have a bit of a climb before we’re at production capacity, but it’s incredible to see the mill finally come to life. Stay tuned!

❄️ When the mercury drops below zero, and the wind is blowing most people stay inside. But at the heart of our operation, the work doesn’t stop.
A massive shout-out to Kyle, Rheinhart, Randy, Jack, Andrew, Dylan and all the logging crews for their incredible dedication this winter. Despite the biting cold and bone-chilling winds, these guys have shown up with heart and hustle to keep the logs moving.
The log yard is the lifeblood of our sawmill. Without their hard work in these extreme conditions, our entire operation would grind to a halt. We are beyond grateful for their toughness and the essential role they play in keeping us running.

Mill expansion update! Over the last couple weeks we have made a lot of progress. Our new truck loading system for wood chips is really moving along, we also got the log deck that feeds the logs from the debarker to the new headsaw in place. Keep tuned!

This week our logging crew was working on some great looking Red Oak Timber. Michigan Red Oak is renowned for producing lumber with consistently light color and a tight growth ring pattern.
