Air Barrier Spray Foam Systems, LLC

Air Barrier Spray Foam Systems, LLC Air Barrier Spray Foam Systems, LLC installs polyurethane spray foam insulation in residential, agricultural, commercial and industrial applications.

Spray Polyurethane foam (SPF) is a spray-applied plastic that can form a continuous insulation and air
sealing barrier on walls, roofs, around corners and on all contoured surfaces. It is made by mixing and reacting unique liquid components at a specific temperature and pressure, at the job site to create foam. The liquids react very quickly when mixed, expanding on contact to create foam that ins

ulates, seals gaps and can form moisture and vapor barriers. SPF insulation is known to resist heat transfer extremely well, and it offers a highly effective solution in reducing unwanted air infiltration thru cracks, seams and joints. There are two main types of foam used are; Closed Cell and Open Cell. Closed-Cell Spray Foam Insulation can serve as a five-in-one application by providing exterior insulation, an air barrier, a vapor retarder, a drain plane, and a water-resistive barrier in a single application. Open-Cell Spray Foam Insulation is intended as cavity insulation inside exterior and interior walls and for use in attics.

This is a 30x60 crawlspace in Calhan, CO that had mice infestation. After the customer killed/removed the mice we removed the existing batting material that gave the mice a place to live and vacuumed the band boards and ledges.
Next, we layed down a 12mil v***r barrier on the floor and taped the seams.
Then we sprayed approx. 3" (R21) of closed cell foam to seal up the band boards, down the wall and sealed it to the v***r barrier.

The outside temperature was in the 50's this day but the interior temperature was getting well above 130 degrees in this greenhouse, and it wasn't completely sealed in yet.
The foam will help ensure those temperatures are maintained throughout the winter nights.

We even had the pleasure of watching an elk herd in the back pasture one day after working.

It's hard to believe that we've not posted anything in 2 years. A testament to how busy we've been and we hope to continue that for many more years.

Here are some jobs from the past couple years, some little, some big. We're slowly adding poly jacking, soil stabilization and liquid tyvek services which will be announcing in the near future.

These pictures are from a late 1800s business in downtown Victor, CO. We installed 4" (R28) of closed cell foam to the ceiling and in the band boards of the crawlspace. I didn't get pictures of the crawlspace, but it was as creepy as you can imagine a late 1800s stacked stone crawlspace to be. I didn't feel alone the whole time.

We were one of the first in the US to provide and insulation in the 1970s and foam in the 1980s. We created polyurethane foam in the 1990s. And you can bet we’ll be the first to innovate foams for new construction uses this year and long into the future.

Our Story

Air Barrier Spray Foam Systems, LLC was started in 2014 after 6 years of self study, research, technical training covering material/equipment and lastly applying foam to our own home to ensure that the services we provide our customers are safe and benefiting.

We’re a family/veteran own company that believes our homes are improperly sealed and insulated. We believe that our homes should breathe through the HVAC systems, not through air leaks in walls and ceilings. We insulate for new construction, existing homes, home additions, metal buildings and many other applications.
