Today, we pause to honor those who served and sacrificed, and to recognize the lasting impact of a life devoted to others. At Bright Bioservices, Memorial Day holds special meaning as we reflect on the power of giving, service, and legacy. Our Veteran Donors are recognized from the beginning through the end of their continued service to others, honoring their lifelong commitment to making a difference.

Our appreciation for nurses extends far beyond one week.
To the hospice nurses who bring comfort, dignity, compassion, and peace during life’s most tender moments — thank you for the care you give not only to patients, but to the families who walk beside them. Your kindness leaves a lasting impact that is never forgotten.

We are deeply honored to have been invited to attend the celebration of life for one of our generous whole body donors. Moments like these remind us that behind every donation is a legacy of compassion, selflessness, and hope for the future of medical research.

Our Recovery Manager, Paul Muñoz, shared that it was a beautiful service and that the family was over the moon with our services. He went on to share that the experience further reinforced why he believed in Bright Bioservices and our mission. He is proud of what we do and how many families we can support and impact.

To the donor’s family—thank you for your trust, your kindness, and for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful tribute. Your loved one’s gift will continue to make a lasting difference in advancing science and improving lives.

With our new fully automated tissue processor, we can begin to offer our research organizations more options for their tissue needs as well as improve and grow our own bio-repository!

We always strive to maximize our donors gifts. So if we come across a donor with a rare condition (to which we don’t have a project for), we can now safely bank that tissue for when the projects do come in.

Always working to improve what we do for our donors!

Good Deeds ~ Good Works ~ Good Friday
70 Bright Bioservices whole-body donors supported the Knowledge Donor Program at Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in 2025. Each donor teaches or enhances critical skills that will save lives through life-saving procedures and surgeries. A special ethics committee ensures everything is done with care, respect, and ethics at the forefront. Photo courtesy of the Knowledge Donor Program

It is rare for the three of us to collaborate outside the walls of Bright Bioservices. This week, we had the pleasure of meeting with the professionals who coordinate the skills labs for the Knowledge Donor Program. Bright Bioservices’ whole-body donors support these labs.
