On May 30th, our Program Director and Founder, John Cover, fulfilled the final wishes of 36 generous whole body donors whose gift of donation helped advance medical education, research, and the future of patient care.
Following the completion of their invaluable contributions to medical education and research, their cremated remains were respectfully committed to the sea in international waters, in accordance with their chosen final wishes. The date, time, and coordinates of each disposition were carefully documented, ensuring a lasting record of this meaningful tribute.
As their ashes became one with the ocean, he and his family reflected on the extraordinary impact each donor has made. Their legacy lives on in the students they helped teach, the healthcare professionals they helped train, the discoveries they helped researchers make, and the countless lives that will benefit from their final gift.
