🌟 Big congratulations to our incredible Medical Director, Dr. Zoran Gatalica! 🌟
We’re proud to share that Dr. Gatalica has once again been recognized on Elsevier’s 2026 list of top-cited scientists, placing him among the top 2% of researchers worldwide.

This year’s recognition reflects not only his recent contributions, but the impact of his work across his entire career - a testament to his lasting influence on cancer research and diagnostics.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have his expertise guiding our lab and helping lead our own research at Reference Medicine. 🔬

Here’s to continued scientific impact, curiosity, and excellence!

We’re proud to share that Reference Medicine has earned Biorepository Accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

This milestone recognizes the rigorous quality systems behind how we collect, process, store, track, and distribute biospecimens - and the care our team brings to every specimen entrusted to us.

For us, quality has never been about checking boxes. It’s about honoring the patients behind every specimen and giving researchers confidence in the materials they rely on to advance diagnostics and therapies.

We’re grateful to our entire team for making this achievement possible.

Confidence shouldn't begin when the package arrives.

It should begin long before it ships.

Quality review. Molecular confirmation. Data verification.

Because "probably" isn't a quality standard.

Behind every post, campaign, graphic, video, conference idea, and slightly unhinged science pun… there’s a team. 😉

Meet Inga Rose + Abby Murphy - the duo behind Reference Medicine’s marketing.

Our approach is pretty simple: make science interesting, make our brand feel human, and never sound like everyone else in the industry.

From big-picture ideas to the tiny details that somehow become a 47-tab project, this is where creativity meets Team Science.

And yes… there are probably already 12 more ideas in progress.

Some people start their morning with coffee.

Some people solve three problems before the coffee is even ready. We see you.

Here's to the lab professionals who keep science moving—one sample, one experiment, and one "quick fix" at a time.

Have a great day in the lab. ☕🧪

1,500+ specimens. Multiple cancer types. Healthy controls. Tight timelines. And a path toward CLIA validation.

When TGen - Part of City of Hope set out to advance a pan-cancer liquid biopsy test for early cancer detection, access to the right biospecimens was a critical piece of the puzzle. Not just enough samples - but samples with the quality, metadata, diversity and consistency needed to support rigorous assay development.

We’re incredibly proud that Reference Medicine could help.

By providing ready-to-use inventory, clear metadata and thoughtful cohort design - while also helping source more specific needs prospectively - we were able to help TGen accelerate testing and keep the focus where it belongs: on the science.

Victoria Zismann, Laboratory Manager at TGen, put it perfectly:

“Science goes beyond the sample. It’s clear that Reference Medicine understands the importance of process - and that’s reassuring.”

This is exactly what means to us.
