Jeel Changela | Arizona College Prep High School | Plant Sciences

Congratulations to Jeel Changela for her outstanding work at the 2026 Arizona Science & Engineering Fair!

Your project, ROOTCAUSE: Reactive Oxide–Organic Tablet for Contaminant Absorption in Soil, tackles one of the most pressing environmental challenges in agriculture today—heavy metal contamination.

By developing a cost-effective soil amendment that significantly reduces the bioavailability of lead and copper, you’ve created a solution that protects plant health, boosts crop growth, and safeguards human health from toxic metals entering the food chain.

Your work demonstrates how innovative science can provide scalable, accessible, and environmentally responsible solutions for contaminated soils worldwide 🌱🔬✨

Best of luck on your journey to ISEF!
