Most project owners don't think about intumescent coatings until a fire marshal asks about them.

By then, it's an expensive conversation.

Intumescent coatings are a passive fire protection system — applied to structural steel, they expand under extreme heat to insulate the metal and buy critical time for evacuation. In industrial and commercial builds, they're not optional.
