POV: Customer was told their compressor was bad and they needed a whole new AC system... 😳 They called me for a second opinion, so I went through the system and actually diagnosed it.
The compressor wasn’t bad - the capacitor was.
One capacitor replacement later and the
AC was back up and running ❄️
This is exactly why getting a second opinion can save you thousands.

Customer had another company replace the capacitor, but the AC kept having issues. After 4–5 return visits, they still couldn’t figure it out.
I came out for a second opinion and found the Turbo capacitor was wired incorrectly for the condenser fan motor. Corrected the wiring, tested the system, and got their AC back up and running. ❄️🔧
Sometimes it’s not about replacing more parts—it’s about finding the actual problem.

Second opinions can save you thousands. The customer was told they needed a new AC unit because the compressor was bad. After properly diagnosing the system, I found the real problem—a failed capacitor. One simple repair and the unit was back up and cooling. ❄️

Brand-new AC doesn’t always mean it’s running the way it should. 👀
This system was installed in June, but the homeowner was still having cooling issues.
After going through the system, I found it needed:
🔧 Blower speed adjustments
❄️ TXV adjustment
🧊 R-32 refrigerant added
A few proper adjustments made a big difference in system performance.
Sometimes it’s not about replacing equipment—it’s about making sure it was set up and commissioned correctly from the start.

Removed the old system and installed a new AC Pro system to get this home back to reliable cooling for the Arizona heat.
Clean install. Proper setup. Ready for summer. 🔧

This customer was told both of their 28-year-old AC systems needed to be replaced — including one that supposedly had a bad compressor.
After properly diagnosing both systems, we found:
⚡ System #1: Compressor wiring needed to be repaired
🛠️ System #2: Failed condenser fan motor
Both systems were repaired and running again without replacing either unit.
Yes, these systems are older and replacement may eventually make sense — but our job is to give the homeowner the facts and let them make an informed decision.

A full-circle moment. 👏
This system was originally installed when we were RMZ Heating & Cooling. Today, we returned for its first maintenance visit under our new name, Rapid Desert Air.
While performing the maintenance, we also updated the equipment with our new service sticker. The name may have changed, but our commitment to quality workmanship, honest service, and taking care of our customers remains exactly the same.
