Bosch IDS 2.0 System Installation

This customer’s boiler failed and with oil prices at record highs, he was looking for an alternative heating solution. In came Bosch, the new IDS 2.0 (inverter ducted system) is a high efficiency system that converts AC to DC so the compressor can run at variable speeds and ramp up production rather than causing that nasty compressor surge that dims all your lights and draws immense amounts of electricity. It’s so quiet you can have a normal conversation next to the compressor while it’s running. This high efficiency heat pump can effectively heat the house down to 5 degrees outside and at a very economical power draw. A backup resistance heater (think toaster) is wired in as emergency heat for those rare occasions the outside temperatures is below 5 degrees. Most only have their emergency heat switch over once or twice a season at night. A very economical, clean solution. No exhaust, no expensive - hazardous fuels and precise comfort all year round.
