A Look Back: When Chemistry Met a Crisis

Looking back at this feature from 6 years ago, it’s a great reminder of why we do what we do at Paradigm Labs. While our focus today is back on our state-of-the-art Defoamers, anti-foams, cleaners, and our new roof coating system, TiTAN, the lesson remains the same: Manufacturing agility matters.

In 2020, we realized our specialty chemical reactors and supply chain connections were exactly what the community needed to help stay safe. Within days, we shifted from industrial formulations to producing 150 cases of hand sanitizer daily to keep employees at businesses like UPS and Comcast moving.

We've just added another a new Karl Fischer Titrator to the lab.

👉 What it does:
- It measures trace moisture — even what you can’t see.

- Even small amounts of water can affect:

- It reacts with water in a sample and measures exactly how much is there.

This is our own Defoamer WA - a scientifically formulated food grade defoamer containing low silicone derivates. The product is very active, and only small quantities are necessary to maintain adequate foam control. Uses include food contact cleaning, printing, dyeing, and other applications where a small amount of silicone can be tolerated.
