Roto Tech Job Description
• Assist in the molding of plastic parts: weighing plastic and loading molds, unclamping and removing parts from molds, placement of parts into cooling fixtures, monitoring temperatures and operating oven controls
• Responsible for learning all aspects of running the oven
• Inspect parts for defects, or quality issues and report non-conforming items to Team Lead and/or Roto Supervisor
• Trim excess plastic from molded parts using hand or power tools
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety
Work Environment
• Rural setting: Exposure to high temps, fumes, dust, and cool temps in the winter
• Fast-paced, physically active manufacturing setting
• Steel toe shoes and safety glasses required
• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 35lbs; team lifts for heavier items
• Schedule: 7:00 to 3:30 Monday through Friday and sometimes Saturday
Skills & Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Basic math skills for weighing and measuring materials
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written/verbal instructions
• Mostly, the willingness to learn and work as a team
• Starting wage depending on background and manufacturing experience
