Setting up a CO2 car race shouldn't take half the class period.

And tracking results shouldn't mean a clipboard and a stopwatch.

The new Impulse G4 Race System was designed to solve both of those problems, and a few more you didn't know you had.

5 things teachers will love about the G4:

1️⃣ Flexible setup that goes from floor racing to elevated track in minutes. A simple pin-based conversion means students can help with configuration, not just watch.

2️⃣ Secure WiFi connectivity that logs and displays race data in real time. No student data is collected or compromised. Just race times, winners, and leaderboards on any screen in the room.

3️⃣ Two race modes in one system. Auto Launch for simultaneous starts. Manual Launch for independent releases with reaction time measurement, adding physics and human performance into the lesson.

4️⃣ A web-based app that handles event setup, car registration, time trials, automated brackets, and CSV export for deeper data analysis and engineering design iteration.

5️⃣ Rugged, competition-grade construction with HDPE gates and stable launch pods built to handle every CO2 car design your students throw at it.

All of this, without a price increase from the previous generation.

The G4 launches this June. Get on the early info list:

It's easy for students to think their classroom projects are just projects. But sometimes that little dragster they build and race is the first spark of something much bigger.

Megan Meyer-Lingner is a two-time NHRA world champion. She started racing junior dragsters at 10 years old alongside her sister Rachel, learning in their dad's shop how to build, problem solve, and trust a team.

Her advice for students who want to turn curiosity into a career?

→ Diversify your skills. Her graphic design degree helped her build a brand, land sponsors, and eventually move into marketing consulting.
→ Push through setbacks. Failure is part of the process, not the end of it.
→ Stay curious. Find the specific thing that lights you up.

Drag racing is more accessible than people realize. Some tracks even let beginners race using their daily vehicle.

Every Pitsco dragster that crosses a classroom finish line is a tiny version of the same engineering, teamwork, and grit that builds champions like Megan.

As we reflect on the 2026 Digital Ship Challenge from this past weekend, we wanted to take a moment to thank all the teachers who have spent months helping and mentoring their students to prepare them for this Challenge!

A huge thank you to Pitsco Education for their generous donation to all the teachers you see here. The Digital Ship Challenge would not be a success without the heart and guidance of these amazing teachers!

Summer camp is one of the best windows students have to build, create, and try things they don't get to during the school year. Here's how one district used it.

Janerl Lampson planned summer programming for Panama-Buena Vista Union School District. Her site alone served 450 students across three camp formats at once, from 6-week theme camps to a drop-in daily camp where students might come once or every day. Every lesson had to stand on its own.

Here's what she built with Pitsco 👇
→ Daily STEM projects students finished and took home the same day
→ A second layer for a week-long camp, connecting morning science to afternoon builds
→ Materials paraprofessional staff could grow into

By week 3, staff were running lessons creatively on their own, and leftover supplies carried the learning into the school year.

You got into education for the moments when students realize what they're capable of. When test scores climb and kids don't want to miss class, you know you're making the kind of impact that inspires lifelong passions.

How can you make those magic moments happen as often as possible in your classroom?

Real K-12 educators are sharing exactly how they made it happen with hands-on STEM learning.

The results they're seeing:
✓ Higher test scores
✓ Lower absenteeism

What teachers are saying:

"Building the drones showed the kids what they're capable of. Now they're building confidence in themselves." — Kaleigh Huxley, Director of Education, Kansas Aviation Museum

"We've seen such an improvement in our science testing scores. The middle schoolers graduated and wanted more." — Kandice Rowe, Science Department Chair, Madison-Ridgeland Academy

When students start asking where their energy comes from, how plants grow, or why the weather changes, call it curiosity, call it science, call it a little tree-hugger moment.

Either way, it’s something worth leaning into, and Earth Day is the perfect time to do it 🌍

If you’re looking for ideas, we put together a blog full of Earth Day STEM activities for kids that are hands-on, engaging, and easy to bring into your classroom.

With activities like building wind energy systems, creating solar-powered vehicles, growing plants, and exploring weather and natural systems, students get to test things out, make changes, and see what actually happens.

If you’re thinking about how to bring more of that curiosity into your classroom this April, we’ve got a few ideas to get you started.

When students pour months of work into building, coding, and competing, the tools behind the scenes matter just as much as the talent on stage.

Pitsco Education was on the ground at the TX TSA State Conference in Fort Worth, supporting students across three exciting competition areas.

Here's what we're powering:

1️⃣ Esports (Brand New)
↳ Developed jointly by Pitsco and our partner Mastery Coding, this new esports event brings Python coding challenges and Madden NFL tournaments to student competition

2️⃣ Drone Competition
↳ Our new Inflatafly Drone Arena gives teams a safe, enclosed space to fly and compete

3️⃣ Dragster Racing
↳ Pitsco's new G4 Starting and Timing System brings precision timing to every CO2 dragster heat

From the code on screen to the cars on the track, we're proud to support the students and educators making STEM competition unforgettable.
