FRC Team 5430 Pirate Robolution — In-School Workshop

Time: 9:00 AM–3:34 PM
FRC Team 5430 Pirate Robolution will be hosting a planned in-school workshop tomorrow, Thursday, August 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:34 PM.

The workshop will focus on three key areas:

Leadership Skills
Electrical Skills
Bumper Manufacturing
All students and club members are encouraged to attend and actively participate throughout the workshop. This is a great opportunity to build technical and leadership skills while gaining hands-on experience as part of the team.
All PHS students have been notified through their school email. Please check your school email for the official notification and instructions regarding attendance.

Students participating in the workshop will be excused from classes during periods 1–6. However, you are still responsible for completing any assignments or coursework outside of the workshop and for staying up to date with your academic responsibilities.

We are pleased to share that the Robotics at Pittsburg High School will continue as an after-school program and is no longer being transitioned into a regular class period at this time.
Additionally, Dr. Richardson has agreed to hold another meeting to discuss the future of robotics and long-term plans for the program. The meeting will take place on Thursday, August 13, at 4:00 PM.
Robotics Schedule:
• Monday: 4:00–6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 4:00–6:00 PM
• Thursday: 4:00–6:00 PM
• Friday: 4:00–6:00 PM
We encourage students, families, and supporters to continue showing their support for the Robotics Program. A strong and engaged community helps highlight the importance of robotics education and the opportunities it provides for students at Pittsburg High School.

Hey, our shooter works for about 50 ft...but also is hitting crossjoists and lights.

Annual tradition: end of the season team badge allocation, with the team deciding who gets to keep them. We had over 20 of our students on drive team over the 2 comps, but only 10 badges!

And that's a wrap on contra costa district event for this year!
Final rank 24 /36
We won the shining star award! (A district-local version of a volunteer award!)
Mx. Traub, our lead mentor and teacher, was one of the Woodie Flowers Finalists going on to compete at district champs! (So really, Alexis's essay writing skills won an award too!)
We ran a snack bar, a machine shop, AND our own pit and robot during comp! We lowball estimate we helped with roughly 80 different fixes over the course of the 2.5 days.
We also set up AND tore down the field!.we are tired!
