Paving the way through Greenfield!

Crews were hard at work on Bigelow Street for a local gas company mill-and-pave project, placing the wearing lift over the binder course already installed. Seen on the left, the tack truck prepped the roadway for paving, while the paving operation rolled ahead on the right.

Workers at the MonFayette Expressway Section 53A1 recently erected the gantry structure for over-the-road tolling facility for PA Turnpike 43. The structure — a 30-inch steel monotube spanning 147 feet and weighing 60,500 pounds — holds the equipment for the EZ-Pass tolling.

PJ Dick managed construction of one of Pittsburgh's most iconic skyrises, the 33-story, 802,000-sf corporate headquarters for PNC Bank. The building exceeds LEED Platinum requirements based on the U.S. Green Building Council’s rating system. The high-rise features five different types of double curtainwall, covering 368,000 sf, and the project used more than 11,000 tons of structural steel.
