This photo, which is hung in my office, stands as a reminder. A representation of a before. Before the devastation, loss, fear, war, and then more loss.

We’re told to never forget. For anyone old enough, the memory of that day comes back easier than almost any life event.

That said, if you weren’t old enough or even born yet, all you have are the stories you’ve been told. Most likely of where someone was that fateful day and how the fear and confusion brought a halt that only a massive tragedy could.

That September day is specifically what tends to get remembered. That and the aftermath.

If you have a story to pass on to the next generation, and you want it to carry the weight of where that fear and confusion stemmed from, I think it’s important to remember the before as well. A time when an unprovoked atrocity was nearly inconceivable. That innocence was taken, along with everything else that day. #911

Summer vacation is over for this guy, back to the grind! Don’t give him too much credit, the last slide of him is what he spent most of his day doing…

The actual last slide is a little TBT to me being a goofball in the family group chat. After months of being at the new facility the power company finally hooked up our 480. So tomorrow is the one year anniversary of tiles going into production at our Banksville location!
