The 2023 vessel is now equipped for improved efficiency, simplified maintenance, and alignment with Tier 3 emission standards. Congrats on the upgrade!

Congrats to Golding Barge Line on the delivery of the mv. Alexa Golding. Designed by Sterling Marine, LLC and built by Steiner Shipyard, the retractable pilothouse towboat is named after Jason Golding's daughter, Alexa Golding Hodges. We're honored to have a pair of Patterson 65-ton deck winches aboard such a special build. Long may she serve!

This may be a first for barge transportation: rescuing a humpback whale. A truly fascinating story as the stranded whale, named Timmy by German media, was pulled into a barge and towed to the North Sea after being stuck off Germany's northeastern coast for over a month. Kudos to all involved in the mission. 👏

The stranded whale was first spotted idle near Germany’s Baltic Sea coast on March 3, far from his natural habitat in the Atlantic Ocean.
