Project Spotlight: Ligonier Beach Park Feasibility Study & Master Site Plan

Earlier this week, our office welcomed a team of “Junior Engineers” for Bring Your Kid to Work Day, where they explored engineering through hands-on activities including hard hat decorating, traffic sign and safety lessons, a parking lot field view, measuring exercises and truss bridge building!

The day was filled with curiosity, creativity, and a lot of fun, it was exciting to see engineering come to life through their eyes.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success and to the families who joined us. We may have a few future engineering in the making!

We’re excited to welcome Jared Grogan, PE, CBSI, NCTI to Mackin as our Manager of Structures – Harrisburg!

Jared brings extensive experience in bridge inspection, structural design, and program management across PennDOT and major infrastructure projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic. He has led inspection teams, managed complex contracts, and supported statewide bridge inspection programs, making him a strong addition to both our Structures Inspection team and our growing presence in Central PA.

In this role, Jared will lead our Harrisburg office while continuing to strengthen our structures services and client relationships across the region.
