Congrats to the boss man Mike on being PASSIVE HOUSE CERTIFIED!
Mike went through a week long intensive training program with Emu Passive to learn the ins and outs of moisture control/air sealing/thermal bridging to create a better sealed & insulated house. For a homeowner, that means lower utility costs year round. We’re excited to put this training to use!

One of my favorite parts of this job is coming up with creative ways to make spaces more functional and useable.
What could have been an awkwardly placed wall bump-out to accommodate the water meter & shutoff is now a shelf that can be easily removed for servicing.
The wall behind it is a white board wall (homeowner is an incredibly wonderful and talented med student!) so the the shelf can be used to store dry erase markers and books, or a spot for her cat to sit and observe while she solves complex math problems.
