MECO Heneghan was proud to sponsor Ag in the Classroom at St. Mary - Mt. Vernon this school year. The sponsorship provided an opportunity to visit with the 4th grade class and share how civil engineers contribute to agriculture and the infrastructure that supports it. Using pictures and hands-on materials, the students got a glimpse into real-world engineering applications. As expected with a group of 10-year-olds, the responses ranged from highly engaged curiosity to one student catching a quick nap 😄—but all part of a rewarding and meaningful experience connecting engineering to the next generation.

"MECO Engineering Company, Inc. and Heneghan and Associates, Inc., two established civil engineering and land surveying firms with deep roots in Missouri and Illinois, announced today that they have completed a strategic merger effective Dec. 31, 2025. The combined firm will operate under the name MECO Heneghan, Inc.

The merger brings together two firms, each with a 40-year legacy and complementary expertise in civil engineering, land surveying and architecture. With expertise in water resources, municipal infrastructure, land development, transportation engineering, structural engineering, boundary surveys, geospatial services, MEP design, and architectural and landscape architecture services, MECO Heneghan, Inc. is building a stronger platform to serve public- and private-sector clients across the region. The firm remains committed to quality engineering, responsive service, and long-term client partnerships."
