"Gold Standard" has a nice ring to it!

MECO provided structural design for a new multilevel steel press box at the Dexter R-XI School District stadium. The structure includes:
- Two enclosed floor levels framed with steel bar joists
- Rooftop viewing platform with a concrete slab on composite metal deck
- Steel joist girders
- Wood truss hip roof

MECO coordinated directly with the steel fabricator, joist manufacturer, and truss supplier through shop drawing review, RFIs, and connection detailing, including revised bearing details at the joist girder corners to carry the roof truss reactions.

We are grateful to the District for trusting MECO and MECO Architectural & Engineering, LLC with this design-build. We love to see a project come together and increase the quality of local sports and events! 🏈

Standing tall and built to serve, this new 100,000-gallon water tower represents an investment in reliable water infrastructure the PWSD No. 2 of Morgan County. 💧

Funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), this project is another example of how strategic funding and smart engineering help build stronger communities.
