🚨WE NEED YOUR HELP TO KEEP KILO IN THE FIGHT!🚨

Kilo’s story is one of heartbreak, redemption, and now—hope.

He was found chained to a dumpster in the middle of a winter storm, emaciated and forgotten. He should not have survived… but he did. Through the love of a foster family, the dedication of amazing vets, and the mission of Redemption Ranch, Kilo got his second chance. He didn’t just survive—he thrived. Today, Kilo proudly serves the Wolcott Police Department alongside his handler, Marshall Baer, protecting his community tirelessly as well as a beloved family member.

But now Kilo faces a new fight. He’s developed a painful limp, and the diagnosis is osteochondrosis—a deformity in his shoulders. This condition was likely the reason his breeder dumped him in the first place, discarding him like trash rather than risk their “profits.” We refuse to let his story end there.

The good news: there’s a solution. A one-time surgery at Purdue University can fix Kilo’s condition permanently. Without it, he has maybe a year left to serve—and a lifetime of pain. With it, he can live out his days healthy, happy, and by his partner’s side.

The challenge: the surgery will cost about $5,000. As a nonprofit, every single dollar donated through this GoFundMe goes directly to this surgery—100% for Kilo. As we are a nonprofit, GoFundMe does not take a percentage at all, and 100% of donations go to us . Together, we can get him back on his feet, back on the streets, and back in the fight where he belongs.

This dog went from dumpster chains to a police badge. He clawed his way back from hell, and all he’s ever done is give. Now he needs us to give back. If you’ve ever believed in second chances… if you’ve ever wanted to fight for someone who couldn’t fight for themselves… this is it.

Please consider donating and sharing Kilo’s story. Your generosity can turn his pain into hope and ensure this hero gets the future he deserves. From dumpster chains to a badge on his chest—Kilo’s story isn’t over yet. Help us write the next chapter together. We are a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible

🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP – BUT NOT THE USUAL KIND! 🚨

Redemption Ranch K9 Rescue has been incredibly lucky to have the support of amazing people like YOU — from those who’ve donated, shared our story, or especially those who have helped turned them into badge-wearing heroes.

So first off: THANK YOU. We wouldn’t be here without you. ❤️

Now here’s the deal…

We’re trying to raise $4,500 to get Redemption Ranch to one of the largest police K9 conferences in the country — the K9 Cop Working Dog Conference and Vendor Show in Nashville, TN next month

This conference is a HUGE opportunity for us to put our mission in front of the exact agencies who need us most — the ones who don’t even know we exist yet. We’re talking banners, handouts, a vendor booth, extra team members to blitz the floor…

Yes, we could rescue a million dogs from shelters tomorrow — but if no one knows who we are, we don’t have an organization. Shelter dogs are waiting for their turn to be given a purpose and a family. Would be handlers out there are waiting for an opportunity. We just need help getting seen.

Up to now, our growth has been entirely word of mouth. Our biggest advocates have been the officers, handlers, and departments that have already worked with us. But we need to go bigger — and this conference is our shot to do that.

So we’re launching a targeted donation drive just for this event. Even $10 helps. Even just sharing this helps. Even just commenting something encouraging helps keep the algorithm gremlins happy. We are a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible

We’re so grateful to everyone who’s supported us on this wild ride — let’s take Redemption Ranch to the next level.

From Shelter to Shield,
— The Redemption Ranch Team 🐾

Chief Kyle Prewitt, on behalf of the Plainfield Police Department, hereby recognizes Randall Hardin with Hardin Heating and Cooling, Inc. for his unwavering commitment to our community with his actions on December 5, 2024. Officers responded to a residence in the town of Plainfield on the report of an elderly female with no heat in her home and no family to assist. Officers contacted Mr. Hardin who assisted with the above run where he determined that the homeowner had lost her heat due to a faulty thermostat. Mr. Hardin replaced the thermostat at no cost to the homeowner. Mr. Hardin even went back out to the residence later to clean and provide additional maintenance to the unit. Mr. Hardin has also donated to Officer Robert Prichard's Redemption Ranch program. Mr. Hardin went above and beyond and is considered a hero to the elderly resident. Randall Hardin is hereby commended for his exemplary service to the residents of Plainfield and to the Plainfield Police Department.
