🚨WE NEED YOUR HELP TO KEEP KILO IN THE FIGHT!🚨
Kilo’s story is one of heartbreak, redemption, and now—hope.
He was found chained to a dumpster in the middle of a winter storm, emaciated and forgotten. He should not have survived… but he did. Through the love of a foster family, the dedication of amazing vets, and the mission of Redemption Ranch, Kilo got his second chance. He didn’t just survive—he thrived. Today, Kilo proudly serves the Wolcott Police Department alongside his handler, Marshall Baer, protecting his community tirelessly as well as a beloved family member.
But now Kilo faces a new fight. He’s developed a painful limp, and the diagnosis is osteochondrosis—a deformity in his shoulders. This condition was likely the reason his breeder dumped him in the first place, discarding him like trash rather than risk their “profits.” We refuse to let his story end there.
The good news: there’s a solution. A one-time surgery at Purdue University can fix Kilo’s condition permanently. Without it, he has maybe a year left to serve—and a lifetime of pain. With it, he can live out his days healthy, happy, and by his partner’s side.
The challenge: the surgery will cost about $5,000. As a nonprofit, every single dollar donated through this GoFundMe goes directly to this surgery—100% for Kilo. As we are a nonprofit, GoFundMe does not take a percentage at all, and 100% of donations go to us . Together, we can get him back on his feet, back on the streets, and back in the fight where he belongs.
This dog went from dumpster chains to a police badge. He clawed his way back from hell, and all he’s ever done is give. Now he needs us to give back. If you’ve ever believed in second chances… if you’ve ever wanted to fight for someone who couldn’t fight for themselves… this is it.
Please consider donating and sharing Kilo’s story. Your generosity can turn his pain into hope and ensure this hero gets the future he deserves. From dumpster chains to a badge on his chest—Kilo’s story isn’t over yet. Help us write the next chapter together. We are a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible
