Meet Sam. He spent his summer with us learning what civil engineering actually looks like outside a classroom.

The technical work is what he expected. What he didn't expect was how much of the job happens in conversations — with clients, with the public, with the people who have to live with what you design.

Sam, you showed up ready to work every day and it didn't go unnoticed. We're glad you spent your summer here, and we hope it won't be the last one.

Meet Keaton, a Purdue environmental engineering student who spent his summer designing a water main replacement from start to finish.

Ask him what surprised him most and it isn't the technical work. It's how much time he spent talking with clients and town council members, and how much more confident he feels doing it.

Keaton, thank you for everything you put into this summer. You made our team better, and we know we'll see you soon.

In response to the Local Flood Emergency, the Town is sharing current and tentative local road closures. Banning Engineering created the GIS map below to support these ongoing updates.

Our thoughts are with all of the communities impacted by yesterday’s devastating flash flooding. We know many of our neighbors, local businesses, families, and organizations are facing significant loss and a difficult road ahead.

We love seeing communities already stepping up to support one another. The Pendleton Chamber of Commerce is reaching out to businesses throughout Pendleton and South Madison County to identify those who have been impacted, connect them with resources, and help amplify their needs.

Happy National Intern Day to our outstanding interns, Sam and Keaton!

This summer, they've jumped in with enthusiasm, asked great questions, tackled new challenges, and become valued members of the Banning team. We appreciate the energy, curiosity, and fresh perspectives they've brought to our offices. We will miss them as they head back to school in several weeks.
