Nearly a hundred years ago, this kitchen was the talk of Plainfield.
The 1928 Plainfield house was built as the “Home Complete,” a model home the whole town was invited to walk through, and the kitchen was the star of the show. An electric refrigerator. An automatic electric range. A toaster, a waffle iron and a percolator right at the breakfast table. The selling point back then was simple: a kitchen that worked so well, you’d spend less time stuck in it and more time with your guests.
A century later, it was time for this kitchen to be the star again.
Same goal the original builder had. We just traded the waffle iron for a double oven.
