One year ago, I took a step of faith.

On June 3rd, 2025, I filed the paperwork to start That AI Guy LLC.
Two months later, I was laid off from my full-time job due to downsizing and corporate restructuring.

What felt uncertain at the time turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Since then, God has provided every step of the way.

I have been blessed to be part of The Center at Northview Christian Church in Danville, IN. While my income looks very different today, God has faithfully provided for me and my family through the generosity of family, friends, and our church community.

In January, I joined the Danville, IN Chamber and connected with some incredible people who have encouraged and supported this journey.

Over the past several months, I have been building tools to solve real problems for small to midsize businesses. That work has led to my first product launch: https://simplyexpensed.com/

I am also grateful for the people God has placed alongside me, including Kenneth West. Your friendship and conversations mean more than you know.

The truth is, there is far more support than I could ever fit into one post.

I do this work for the glory of my provider and maker, Jesus Christ.
I do it for my family and my children, to give them a life filled with love, generosity, and joy.
And I do it for you, the people showing up every day to do the work that is necessary, even when it is not easy.

My goal is simple: help give time and joy back to business owners so they can focus on what matters most.

One year in, and we are just getting started.

There is more coming. Bigger tools. Greater impact. Real help for small businesses ready to grow.

Build vs. Buy

One of the biggest advantages I’ve found using AI as an entrepreneur is simple: customization.

I’m not locked into someone else’s idea of how my business should run. I can build tools that fit exactly how I work.

And once you realize that… a bigger question comes up:

Why stop at building for yourself?

If a tool solves a real problem for you, there’s a good chance it can help others in your industry too. That opens the door to turning your internal solutions into product offerings or even white-label services.
