Ever wonder what people actually mean when they say diesel has “gelled”?

Diesel contains naturally occurring paraffin wax. As temperatures fall, that wax begins forming crystals. Eventually, those crystals can clog a fuel filter and keep fuel from reaching the engine.

Knowing what happens is the first step toward preventing it.
