Finished up this big project today. Multi phase in order to keep the restaurant open for B&B Bowling and Restaurant. Refinished the main dining room last week, then switched over to the bar room this week, refinishing the floor and the foot rest at the bar, including adding a new protective metal strip on the front edge.
A few firsts on this project for me. I tested out a new sanding machine from and it was the first floor I’ve used finish products from start to finish. This random width white ash floor has seen 10 years of hard daily use, it’s now finished with a system from Berger that I believe will hold up to the abuse it sees. Stained with ExpressStain in Early American, then sealed with ExoBloc, to help with salt contamination, then top coated with 2 coats of Berger CermicStar in satin. This was one floor that really used all the tools in my arsenal to get it back to like new condition.
