The new being installed at Harvard University's American Repertory Theater is an excellent example of modern innovation. Sempergreen Group supplied a mat made of mineral wool, which was installed before the green roof media was blown up to the rooftop. The unique characteristics of the mat enhance water retention and plant health. After the mat was installed, Air Pump USA and Xquisite Landscaping installed over 250 cubic yards of green roof media in a short time. This American Hydrotech green roof system will serve the people of for many years to come! 🏥

Charles Duprey, the founder and president of , will be speaking at later this year on the topic of Optimizing Rooftop Yield: Studying Rooftop Farming Media. In this session, he will be discussing a three-year research project conducted at a rooftop farm in Boston using our green roof media designed specifically for urban agriculture.

He will also be co-hosting a tour of the green roof installation at Domino Square in Brooklyn for conference attendees.

As we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we look back to one of the earliest projects: the Statue of Liberty Museum green roof. In 2018, we shipped over 1,000 cubic yards of customized media down the Hudson River on barges for installation at this historic site. We are grateful to live in a country that affords us the opportunity to do this work for our customers and create unique landscapes for all to enjoy. 🗽

This ongoing collaboration between Downes Companies and Ascape Landscape & Construction Corp. is utilizing Naturcycle for our soil blends and expert logistics, which allows for speedy and efficient installation of our media. These amenity spaces with curved walkways, mounded landscapes, and a forest-like plant palette create a rooftop park setting with amazing views. and our experienced customers and local installers will be here as this complex continues to expand, four stories above the Hudson River. 🌉
