When welding with refrigerant piping, always use nitrogen substitution to protect the system.

Without nitrogen during welding, oxidation can form inside the piping and create scale buildup. This debris can clog the Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV), capillary tubes or other components, potentially leading to compressor failure.

Remember to:
• Flow nitrogen through the piping during welding
• Use a pressure-reducing valve
• Maintain proper flow rate to prevent oxidation inside the pipe

Taking these steps helps maintain clean refrigerant lines and protects system performance.
