As pool season comes to an end, it’s a great time for communities to take a step back and evaluate how their aquatic facility performed this summer.

For aging facilities, now is also the time to start asking:

• What repairs or improvements are needed?
• How much longer can the facility serve the community?
• Would renovation make sense, or is replacement the better option?
• What investment will be needed for the next 5, 10, or 20 years?

At Burbach Aquatics, Inc., we work exclusively with municipal aquatic facilities to help communities evaluate their options and plan for the future through facility evaluations, feasibility studies, and long-term planning.

Two weeks ago, our team had the opportunity to attend the Official Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Zumbrota Swimming Pool.

It was exciting to see the community come together to celebrate the start of a project that will serve residents for years to come.

Burbach Aquatics is proud to deliver this project for the City of Zumbrota and looks forward to seeing the vision come to life over the coming months. We can't wait to see the completed facility welcoming families, swimmers, and the community next summer!

Summer is the season when communities get to see their aquatic facilities in action.

While residents are enjoying swim lessons, family recreation, and community events, municipal leaders are also gaining valuable insight into how their facilities are performing.

The operating season can reveal important information:
• Are the current amenities meeting community needs?
• Are maintenance challenges becoming more frequent?
• Are there areas where improvements should be prioritized?
• Is the facility positioned to serve future generations?

Planning for an aquatic facility improvement project often begins long before construction. Evaluations, budgeting, community input, and long-term planning all play an important role in developing a successful project.
