About us

In 1996 owner Dirk Olsen started out with one oil truck and several oil disposal contracts and Raptor Industries was born. Over the years Raptor grew into an oilfield chemical company specializing in glycol, TEG and methanol. In 2001 Advanced Oilfield Services was established in the Piceance Basin, with the home base being Rifle, Colorado. Over the years Advanced would grow to be a leader on the service side of oilfield construction and development. In 2009 Advanced Oilfield made the move to Claysville, Pennsylvania to operate in the Marcellus Shale basin. Advanced brought with them extensive knowledge and experience into a new and booming field. Three years later in 2012 Advanced once again expanded their operations by branching out into the Utica Shale basin, and opened a shop in Mineral City, Ohio. At this same time, Advanced also expanded operations by opening up a shop in Williston, North Dakota, becoming heavily involved in the booming Bakken oilfield basin. In 2015 Advanced traveled back to the front range of Colorado to become involved in the DJ Basin. In 2017 Advanced made Platteville, Colorado their company headquarters. At the same time also expanding into the Permian Basin and opening up a shop in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

While the Oilfield of America have changed over the years, the one constant is Advanced Oilfield Services. We still operate in all these fields and have a well trained, safe work force that continues to go above and beyond for all of our clients. We here at Advanced Oilfield pride ourselves in the work we do and the accomplishments of our company. With over 43 years of experience from our owner Dirk Olsen to the many managers and supervisors with extensive knowledge and diverse backgrounds to all the men and women that make Advanced Oilfield what it is, a “family”. We adhere to a set of basic principles, “Safety, Quality, and Efficiency to give our clients the absolute best”.
