Same medication. Same dose. Different results.

A study presented at the 2026 APAPP National Conference evaluated five commercially available valved holding chambers to determine whether device choice can affect the amount of medication available for delivery to the lungs.

The results showed marked variability between devices, with the AeroChamber Plus® Flow-Vu® aVHC delivering the highest lung-available dose in the model tested.

The takeaway? VHCs may not be interchangeable when it comes to aerosol drug delivery.
