When your name is on the equipment, you want to be confident in every part that goes into it.

That's why the work behind the finished product matters.

Plattco works alongside OEMs during the design process to understand the application and identify valve solutions that can be integrated into their equipment and perform in demanding environments.

It’s about more than supplying a component. It’s about working together to help build equipment customers can depend on.

Because at the end of the day, what you build should be something worth standing behind.

Come take a walk through the Plattco facility with us.

There’s a lot that happens before a finished Plattco valve is ready to leave our facility.

From the foundry and precision machining to assembly, this tour gives you a look at some of the people, equipment, and processes behind the products our customers rely on.

It takes a team and a lot of attention to detail to bring all of those individual components together.

We’re proud of the work that happens here every day and the people who make it possible.

Your customers might never see every component inside the equipment you build, but they'll experience the difference those components make.

When equipment performs reliably, requires less maintenance, and keeps operations moving, it builds confidence in the company whose name is on it.

That's why the details matter.

Plattco works alongside OEM engineers to understand their applications and provide valve solutions designed to perform reliably as part of the larger system.

We're proud to play a role behind the scenes, helping our OEM partners build equipment their customers can depend on.

Sometimes the right solution starts with understanding what's creating the maintenance problem in the first place.

At Wilkes-Barre Materials in Pennsylvania, abrasive sandstone dust was creating significant wear on the plant's Plattco S8-Series Double Flap Airlock® Valves.

The maintenance team was changing seats and flappers three or four times a year, making valve maintenance a frequent and time-consuming job.

Plattco engineers worked with the team to address those challenges using the Mechanical Shaft Seal (MSS) and EZ Seat replaceable wear edge.

The improvements helped Wilkes-Barre Materials reduce maintenance costs, overtime labor, and downtime. The EZ Seat also allows the team to replace a six-pound wear component instead of a component weighing more than 30 pounds.

As Superintendent Rich Halliday Jr. shared:
"Plattco and their engineers worked with us trying different products to solve our wear and maintenance issues. The Plattco team provided us with a minimal cost, minimal maintenance solution."

It's a great example of what can happen when our engineers and customers work together to solve a specific operational challenge.

Plattco is proud to serve customers across Canada, and Bennett is helping us build those relationships one conversation at a time.

As Plattco's Canadian representative, Bennett works with customers across Canada to understand what's happening in their facilities and what they need from their equipment.

Every application is different. That's why the conversation considers the complete operation, including safety, reliability, maintenance needs, and process requirements, before determining the right approach.

We're glad to have Bennett connecting Canadian customers with the experience and engineering expertise of the Plattco team.

Great equipment takes great people working together.

There's a lot that happens behind the scenes before a Plattco valve ever reaches a customer's facility.

It takes people across our team sharing their experience, solving problems, and working together to make sure the equipment we build meets the needs of our customers.

We're proud of the people who bring their skills and commitment to Plattco every day and help keep industries moving.

What happens during a Plattco Field Service visit?
It's more than an inspection. It's an opportunity to help your team prepare for the future.

When our factory-certified technicians visit a facility, they work alongside plant personnel to inspect equipment, identify wear, and recommend solutions before small issues become larger operational challenges.

Every visit includes:
- A comprehensive inspection of your Plattco equipment
- A detailed report, giving maintenance teams a clear roadmap for upcoming repairs
- Repairs completed using recommended replacement parts, when needed
- Maintenance guidance and training to help your team support long-term reliability

Our goal is to help customers reduce downtime, improve planning, and keep their operations running with confidence.

Interested in learning more about Plattco Field Service? Visit plattco.com/services or call +1.518.563.4640 to speak with a member of our team. We'd be happy to discuss your operation and maintenance goals.

If you've worked with a field service team before, what's the most valuable part of the experience?

We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

A valve doesn't have to stop working for maintenance to be overdue.

Sometimes the warning signs are happening where you can't easily see them.

As valve components wear, sealing performance can decline and allow air leakage. That leakage may not be visible from the outside, but it can still affect the performance of the production system.

The wear pictured here was caught before it progressed further. That's one of the reasons routine inspections are so important.

Finding wear early gives maintenance teams an opportunity to address the problem, help prevent additional damage, and keep equipment operating as intended.

When was the last time your valves were internally inspected?
