Preventative maintenance in action!

Our team was out in the field performing routine service on this automated slide gate system. Regular maintenance helps keep gate systems running smoothly, safely, and reliably — especially with constant use and exposure to the elements.

These scheduled visits also give us the opportunity to inspect key components, catch minor issues before they turn into costly repairs, and ensure the operator is functioning at its best.

A little preventative care goes a long way in protecting your investment and avoiding unexpected downtime.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Our office will be closed Thursday and Friday (Dec 25th and 26th) so that our employees can enjoy more time with their families this Christmas season.

Did you know?
The idea of a "working man's holiday" was started in the late 1800's after one of several worker strikes in cities across America caused an uproar in the labor force so big that congress and the federal government had to step in? President Grover Cleveland wrote this holiday into law in 1894.

To celebrate our team and all of their hard work, we will be closed on Monday, Sept 1st in observance of the holiday. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Another outstanding installation done by our crew here at Controlled Access. We partnered with a company in Minnesota who had a barrier gate installation fall under their scope of work. We were able to source the equipment and get everything installed in a timely manner for them.

🚀 Gate History Fun Fact!

Did you know the first electric gate opener was invented way back in 1881 by Fred W. Watson? 🤯

He designed it to open and close railway crossing gates using an electromagnet—a huge deal for safety and convenience back then!

Pretty wild to think that’s how the gates we install today got their start… now you can open your gate with an app on your phone. 📱
