Des Moines Police Department Crimes Against Persons Section detectives are requesting the community's assistance with locating a person wanted in connection with an August 23rd shooting investigation.
21-year-old Kuku Tutu Teya is wanted on a felony Attempted Murder charge related to a shooting in the 100 block of University Avenue that left one person critically injured.
Teya is 6'2" tall and weighs approximately 165 lbs.

DMPD Crimes Against Persons Section detectives have made three arrests in the investigation of a shooting that left one person critically injured.
Just before 7:30 PM on August 23rd, officers responded to a report of a shooting at a convenience store in the 100 block of University Avenue.
The adult male victim was transported to MercyOne - Des Moines, where he remains hospitalized.
Evidence led detectives to stop a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in the 2700 block of Hubbell Avenue. During that stop, one suspect ran, dropping a gun as he fled.
Calls from residents in the neighborhood led a DMPD K-9 team to an area where the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Adam Geman Tennih, was located hiding in a garage.
Also taken into custody at the traffic stop was 23-year-old Rickey Curtis Meneweather.
A search warrant later Tuesday evening at an east side residence resulted in a second gun being recovered, and 22-year-old Antonio Luis Alexander being taken into custody.
At this time, those in custody have been charged with the following offenses:
Meneweather
Attempted Murder (Class B felony)
Tennih
Interference With Official Acts - Firearm (Class D felony)
Persons Ineligible To Carry Dangerous Weapons (Serious Misdemeanor)
Possession Of A Controlled Substance - Ma*****na (Serious Misdemeanor)
Alexander
Felon In Possession Of A Firearm (Class D felony)
Accessory After The Fact (Aggravated Misdemeanor)
Meneweather and Alexander are currently being held at the Polk County Jail. Tennih was released early this morning.
Des Moines Police Department detectives continue this investigation.
Additional arrests are expected.
