Del Monte Foods, Inc. Is hiring Forklift Operators to work in their Plover, WI location for the canning production season of Green Beans. Production runs from Mid-June to Early October. Positions are available in both day and night shift. Overtime is available after 40 hours. Hours vary from 10 to 12 hours per shift; 6 days a week.



Essential Functions:



If in production or label lines: operate forklift to remove full pallets of product from production lines, placing them in the appropriate location of the warehouse.

If in shipping: assist shipping department which can entail scanning and staging of finished product or cans for loading. Supply production/label lines with supplies needed to keep production going. Always be sure pallets are tagged before removing from lines.

Fill out daily check list for forklift at beginning of shift, each and every day. Bail card board and plastic.



Required Skills and Abilities:

​Ability to safely maintain a work pace appropriate to given work load.
Able to work cooperatively with other co-workers.
Must be able to lift propane tank weighing up to 75 lbs.
Able to understand and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
Must be able to climb up on/off forklift and turn body to drive in reverse when needed.
Must know and follow all forklift safety policies.

The Plover, Wisconsin production plant is hiring seasonal Harvester Operators to work from mid-June through early October. Positions are available on both our day and night shifts. Overtime is available after 40 hours. Hours can vary from 10 to 12 hours per shift, 6 days a week. Day shift starts at 6am, and night shift starts at 5p.m. Local and out of state workers are encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions:

-Drive and operate the Harvesters to achieve its maximum efficiency with picking.
-Safely drive Harvester from field to field while following all establish safety rules.
-Assist Harvest Operators as needed, which may include; unjamming harvester.
-Pick up spilled beans around trucks/harvesters as needed.
-Assist as requested with the training of new employees.
- Report to the plant on time to join the group van transport to the field.
-Some travel out of State to Illinois for harvest possibly needed, late June/early July and again late September/early October.

Required Skills and abilities:

• Farm equipment, and harvester, experience preferred.
• Demonstrated reliable attendance.
• Ability to operate a Harvester efficiently.
• Work cooperatively with co-workers.
• Ability to climb up/down the ladder and position self in the Harvester Cab.
• Capable of walking to and from the Harvester in the bean field.
• Good Communication Skills

Responsibilities:

Essential role in supporting the accuracy and timeliness of finance processes and procedures during the very busy and hectic processing season
Accurately assist the Plover Finance department with daily processes; specifically, in the areas of Accounts Payable, Payroll and Production Accounting.

The Seasonal Accounting Intern reports directly to the Plant Controller.

• Assist Plant Accountant responsible for Production/Inventory
• Accounting with the completion of process orders in SAP to record material usage and assist Raw Product Plant Accountant with Daily RP Pricing
• Assist with weekly CHEP Reconciliation
• Filing of Production/Inventory Accounting and Raw Product information/documents
• Assist the Sr. Plant Accountant responsible for Raw Product in the preparation and mailing of grower payments as needed
• Assist the Plant Controller with other accounting functions as needed
• Assist other office personnel with work activities as time permits
• Follow federal, state, and local law and corporate policies and procedures
• Ability to greet all customers (internal & external) timely, courteously, and professionally at all times
• Ability to walk/move/maneuver about the office and production facility
• Ability to lift/carry while walking up to and including 50 pounds
• Ability to work within an active office environment
• Ability to perform all required responsibilities with ethics and integrity
• Ability to sit majority of shift (75+% of shift)

The Crew Leader is responsible for the proper operation and adjustment of the receiving and preparation equipment to ensure quality and production goals are met. This is done through proper training of seasonal employees, adequate preventative maintenance, working in a safe and environmentally conscious manner, and monitoring and adjusting product flow. The Crew Leader reports directly to the Receiving Department Shift Supervisor and/or Production Supervisor.

Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities include: Ensure product safety through enforcement of company policy and regulatory standards. Enforce company quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(Responsibilities, job duties, major tasks performed, & percentage of time required for each)

Safely perform a variety of skilled maintenance work and trouble shooting to maintain the various receiving/prep department equipment to ensure production levels are met. 45%

Post high school mechanical training or its equivalent
Capability of working with a wide variety of tools
Machinist skills or training advantageous

Computer experience helpful

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Potential for irregular work schedules/overtime due to fluctuating production needs.
Capable of occasionally lifting and carrying various items that may weigh up to 75 #’s.
Ability to walk on or maneuver around uneven floor surfaces and go up/down stairs.
Capability of working on machinery in a variety of adverse positions including crawling, squatting, kneeling, etc.
Availability to work all shifts on a 11-12 hour basis.
Ability to train, lead and organize seasonal crews.
Ability to work independently and efficiently without close supervision.
Must provide own tool set to perform assigned duties.
Good attendance record.
