Responsibilities:
Essential role in supporting the accuracy and timeliness of finance processes and procedures during the very busy and hectic processing season
Accurately assist the Plover Finance department with daily processes; specifically, in the areas of Accounts Payable, Payroll and Production Accounting.
The Seasonal Accounting Intern reports directly to the Plant Controller.
• Assist Plant Accountant responsible for Production/Inventory
• Accounting with the completion of process orders in SAP to record material usage and assist Raw Product Plant Accountant with Daily RP Pricing
• Assist with weekly CHEP Reconciliation
• Filing of Production/Inventory Accounting and Raw Product information/documents
• Assist the Sr. Plant Accountant responsible for Raw Product in the preparation and mailing of grower payments as needed
• Assist the Plant Controller with other accounting functions as needed
• Assist other office personnel with work activities as time permits
• Follow federal, state, and local law and corporate policies and procedures
• Ability to greet all customers (internal & external) timely, courteously, and professionally at all times
• Ability to walk/move/maneuver about the office and production facility
• Ability to lift/carry while walking up to and including 50 pounds
• Ability to work within an active office environment
• Ability to perform all required responsibilities with ethics and integrity
• Ability to sit majority of shift (75+% of shift)
• Ability to withstand repetitive office demands, such as use of hands, fingers, wrists, shoulders
• Ability to apply critical thinking and sound judgment

Qualifications:
• Current graduate or undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting OR 2 or more years’ finance related equivalent experience and education
• Proven communication skills (verbal, listening & presentation skills)
• Proven computer and administrative skills
• Proven leadership ability, displaying a positive attitude while capable of encouraging teamwork within a group
• Capable of writing and maintaining applicable records
