Yankee Aviation Services is a full service general aviation maintenance facility. Our speciality services include:

- Annual inspections on all single-engine and multi-engine aircraft, including experimental aircraft.
- Engine overhauls.
- Expert recovering and service of fabric covered airplanes, including performance of the wood spar moisture puncture test
- Aircraft ferrying service for out

of town and out of state customers. An on-staff FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative who is authorized to perform the following aircraft airworthiness certification functions: issue recurrent Standard Airworthiness Certificates for U.S. registered aircraft; issue recurrent export airworthiness approvals for Class I and Class II products in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations. Our staff has extensive experience performing annual inspections and full engine overhauls.

Often customers ask how we get their props to the prop overhaul shop in Connecticut. In the early days we had special boxes to ship them on trailer trucks but this is the easiest way. New England Prop sends their pickup here with special stanchions that hold them. So if you ever see this truck on the highway do not be afraid, it does not really fly. Pete

I spent three days in Chennai, Indis last month. I was hired to inspect two Embraer Phenon 100’s which were involved in a flood there and issue Special Flight Permits to get them back to the US. They were purchased by a firm in Vermont. They are now undergoing full inspections in preparation for Standard Airworthiness Certificates. A long trip for a very short stay, but fun.

November was somewhat slow but things hav picked up lately.

Thanks to all of our friends and customers for your well wishes before my hip surgery and during my recovery. All I can say is that this " minimally invasive surgery" is something else. Operation on Wednesday, home on Thursday and back working in the office on Monday. Hats off to Dr. Stephen Murphy and the entire staff at New England Baptist Hospital. Although I am still not climbing all over aircraft, I have managed to at least make a couple flights in the Aerostar.
