Renewable Solar has been busy this fall.

Flat roof installation using Ironridge Aire tilt and attached anchors. This ADU/garage is going to incorporate a full home battery backup with EG4 18kpv and a 280ah powerwall battery. We are going for full off grid capability on this one. Maximizing the suns power to eliminate their grid usage.

We turned up the DC side already with Tigo DC optimization and are waiting on some parts for the AC side but the system will be functional soon.

This spring we upgraded this grid tied solar array we did 4 years ago to include a whole home battery backup with 15kWh battery. It is an APsystems QS1 micro inverter system. We added an EG4 18kpv and a 15.4 kWh battery and AC coupled the solar array to the EG4.

This is a great upgrade to any grid tied system allowing the customer to use stored battery power for use at night further reducing electrical charges.

Not only that it can also island the property from the grid and provide solar input to the home when the grid is down.

Meaning no grid = no problem as this home still has power!

After sustaining 4 power outages this summer that didn’t affect the customer they are happy they did the upgrade!

We got this picture from a happy customers the other day. It doesn’t seem like much but not only did this customer get paid for the extra clean renewable solar energy they sold back to Xcel. They offset their electrical bill completely! Saving them $1000’s a year.

Just finished up a 6kW system in Minnetonka MN. Not a lot of south facing roof to work with but we got this to cover the bill with some East and West facing panels that still get a lot of morning and evening sun! Not bad output according to the graph.
