Out of sight, out of mind—and that's exactly the idea. We wrapped up a 1,000-gallon underground propane tank install, purged the tank, prepped it for its first propane delivery, got everything hooked up, and finished it off with a thorough leak check so it's ready to go.

For homes with steep driveways or roads that can be tough to get down during a New England winter, having the extra storage can make a big difference. This customer will have plenty of propane on hand to help get through the coldest months without worrying as much about frequent deliveries.

Big thanks to Lincoln Trucking & Excavation for a clean tank set and backfill. It was a pleasure working together, and we appreciate the quality workmanship.

The diagnosis is in...

A few of you guessed it!

This pilot assembly was cooked. Years of corrosion finally cracked the pilot hood, so instead of the flame coming out where it belonged, it was rolling out underneath the pilot. On top of that, the ignitor wasn't throwing a clean spark at the electrode—it was arcing underneath the case, making that faint clicking sound you heard in yesterday's video.

Swapped in a new pilot assembly, leak checked the system, and now it's lighting off on the first try and burning the way it should.

Can you figure out what's wrong with this fireplace?

Sometimes the problem is obvious... and sometimes it's hiding in plain sight.

Watch the flame closely and listen carefully. There are a couple of clues in this video that point to the culprit.

A cozy fireplace isn't much use when the pilot won't stay lit! We recently replaced a worn-out pilot assembly on a propane log set fireplace after years of heat, corrosion, and everyday use finally took their toll. With the new assembly installed, the fireplace is back to lighting reliably and ready for many more comfortable evenings.

Another oil tank replacement completed! During the swap, we found quite a bit of sludge built up in the bottom of the old tank—a good reminder that what's happening inside your tank isn't always visible from the outside. Replacing an aging tank before problems arise can help avoid fuel issues, costly cleanups, and unexpected headaches down the road.
