MPS Group’s Facility Services has a full-time position open for an ELTA Program Manager. Based in Farmington Hills, the successful candidate will be responsible for estimating new business, the effective launch of new contracts, teaching at all levels and assisting ongoing operations based on business need and assignment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
• Part of a team that will establish and maintain contracts with Industrial Cleaning Operations, Paint Booth Maintenance or related business
• Key contact with customer to establish scope of work, baseline for housekeeping, paint process cleaning, episodic work and staffing level
• Provide financial and budgeting support for assigned account
• Set up and facilitate internal and external meetings, conferences or reviews
• Conduct performance evaluations and oversee salary staff at site during launch activity or during ad hoc assignments
• Serve as single point of contact for all activities at customer location (typically Paint Operations)
• Utilize, train and participate in continuous improvement of the division operating system
• Initiate process improvements with ability to identify return on investment for capital expenses
• Utilize best practices including 5S approach, min/max inventory systems and visual controls of key performance indicators (kpi)
• Manage the business consistent with MPS Group mission and values
• Communicate with and report information to corporate office and customer contacts in a proactive manner
• Contract administration assuring MPS Group business interests are maintained while providing accountability within the business unit and from the customer to ensure deliverables are met
• Create, revise and update reports and charts to reflect real time business activity
• Plan, execute track and follow up on operations projects as assigned
• Assist ongoing operations by trouble shooting and/or developing ability of staff to troubleshoot
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree (prefer Engineering or Business) with a minimum of 3 years leadership experience with Industrial Services or Paint Shop management or equivalent.
• Experience managing union employees and administration of a union contract (UAW preferred)
• Evident interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with impact at many levels in an organization (entry level employees, peers, interdepartmental, customers, executives).
• Ability to collect, interpret and report financial information
• Proven proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, typical email/calendar software (ie Outlook) and typical industry application (time and attendance, ERP, compliance)
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret general business and technical procedures or government regulations
• Able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Presentation skills to provide clear direction to others and respond to questions
• Customer Service mindset with internal/external customer base and the general public
